Wayne Becker has lived in Kamloops for the past 42 years. His community involvement includes Rotary (past president 1990), Kamloops Chamber of Commerce and Caribou College Foundation (now Thompson Rivers University). He has also been active with Junior Achievement, Red Cross and minor sports leagues.
Wayne received a Bachelor of Arts degree (accounting/economics) from Simon Fraser University and in 1984 earned his Chartered Accountant designation. After articling with Price Waterhouse he practiced accounting for 28 years, lastly as partner in Becker Daley. Over the course of his career he also served as Director of Practice Review for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia. His experience also includes participating in land development in Kamloops and other area markets. Wayne and his wife Judy have raised three adult children.
Wayne has served Valley First and First West since 2006. Wayne's current committee responsibilities include serving as chair of the Audit and Risk Management Committee and serving as a member of the Investment and Loan Committee.
