Michele Morgan
A seasoned executive with almost three decades of experience in senior IT positions, Michele Morgan is responsible for providing a full suite of technology services to First West’s regional brands.
Michele joined First West from BC Hydro, where she held the role of senior vice president, smart metering and infrastructure. There she acted as executive lead for the program to provide smart metering technology to approximately 1.8 million customers. Michele was also the vice president and CIO for Teekay Shipping, a Vancouver-based marine transportation provider with a fleet of over 150 oil and natural gas tankers. In this role she provided corporate vision and business objectives that integrated strategic IT vision into the business.
Michele holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University of Ulster and an executive MBA from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business. She has received executive leadership training from INSEAD in France and is an advisor for both the World Economic Forum and the MIS Advisory board for the Sauder School of Business. She is also a former director of the CIO Association of Canada.
