Jackie Baron

Since joining Valley First in 1993, Jackie has risen steadily through the corporate ranks, holding numerous positions including executive director, corporate affairs; vice-president, communications and corporate affairs and vice-president, administration and governance. As First West’s senior vice-president, governance and corporate strategy, Jackie not only oversees the credit union’s communications, public relations and corporate strategies, but is also responsible for assisting the CEO in developing, coordinating and securing future business partners for First West. Before joining Valley First, Jackie specialized in human resource management in both the hospitality and engineering industries. With this strong human resources background, Jackie recognizes that personal and professional development is not limited to the workplace. To further advance her skills and share her knowledge with others, Jackie has served as a trustee of the Credit Union Foundation of British Columbia, and is also a past member of the B.C. Human Resources Management Association and Marketing Association for Credit Unions.
